The research activity of the proposing professors is documented by the list of publications for the five-year period 2006-2010. To witness the relevance of scientific activity, it should be noted that on the occasion of the Triennial Evaluation of Research (VTR) for the years 2001-2003 promoted by the CIVR relative to the Scientific Area 08 - Civil Engineering Architecture were selected 31 products of the teachers proposing the Department out of a total of 47 products presented (of which 19 out of 31 in band A). The evaluation of the products by the CIVR has been particularly positive and such as to place the area 08 (Civil Engineering and Architecture) at the first place among the large structures. The Department establishes research guidelines in line with national and international thematic lines aimed at harmonizing basic developments and application purposes, leaving to each researcher the freedom to identify individual topics and their financiers. The Department, upon reasoned request, guarantees, within the limits of the possibilities and on the basis of shared priority criteria, the maximum availability of space, staff and anything else necessary for the optimal development of the research itself.
