The ERASMUS+ project "SocioEcoHoods: Teaching for the Socio-Ecological Transformation of Neighborhoods: An Inter- and Transdisciplinary Approach" (2024- 2-LI01-KA220-HED-000286798) is organizing the Hackathon “Regeneration and Ecological, Digital and Cultural Transition of the Hilly Districts of Genoa Pra’” which will take place in Genoa and be conducted in English. The initiative focuses on urban regeneration in public housing neighborhoods. The call is open to students, preferably enrolled in the Bachelor's degree programs in Civil, Building, and Environmental Engineering, and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, and Environmental Engineering, or similar programs, at the partner universities involved in the project: University of Genova (IT), Liechtenstein School of Engineering (Liechtenstein) of Architecture - University of Liechtenstein (LI), and the University of Münster (DE), the Bergen School of Architecture (NO).
The Hackathon is scheduled to be held in person in Genoa from 14 to 18 September 2026.
5 students from the University of Genova will be selected, preferably enrolled in the Bachelor's degree program in Civil, Building, and Environmental Engineering, and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar programs covering the topics. The selection is also open to PhD students at the University of Genoa working on topics related to those addressed in this Hackathon.
Interested students must submit their application by email to: francesca.pirlone@unige.it no later than 15 June 2026 at 01:00pm, indicating their degree programme and attaching a motivation letter and their CV (including earned credits -CFU- and grade point average), together with a self-declaration authorising the University of Genoa to process their personal data for the purposes of posting and publishing the outcome of the selection process.
